Dana Yahalomi

“Together with ‘Public Movement’ I deeply investigate the choreographies of resistance from within experience and thought about the establishment and realization of solidarity and civil consciousness.”

Dana Yahalomi

Dana Yahalomi is a choreographer and artist. She is the founder of the ensemble “Public Movement” which creates a “choreography of opposition within the experience and thought of nesting and fostering solidarity and civil consciousness.” “Public Movement” goes well beyond what we think of when we think of dance--the ensemble is, in its very methodology, as inherently critical as it is creative. Its creations walk the fine line--or blurred boundary--between theater, street performance, interactive protest, video and more. As such, the ensemble is not simply innovative--it is deeply accessible.
